Autumn Overnight Oats
It’s getting cold outside and those chilly mornings aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, so I like to enjoy an extra few minutes in bed in the morning, knowing that my breakfast is already sorted… Fancy a little longer in bed each morning? I have mastered the best overnight oats recipe and I would love to share it with you all:
In a 280g jar (I always recycle my peanut butter or honey jars):
- ½ x Medium sized grated apple
- ¼ cup oats
- ¼ cup milk (any kind of milk you desire)
- ½ tsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp flax seed
- ½ tsp of mixed spice
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Optional: teaspoon of honey or / and teaspoon of peanut butter
Cover with the lid, give it a good mix or shake and leave it in the fridge overnight.
Top tips:
- This can last in the fridge up to 5 days – so you can meal prep for the whole week
- The given recipe Is a base recipe, so you can substitute the apple with other fruit or add more fruit to it
- Add any garnish that you desire; nuts, chocolate, berries, dried fruit… endless options just be creative
- If you like your oats a bit creamier, add a dollop of yogurt
- If you prefer porridge, put the jar (without the lid) in the microwave for one minute and enjoy warm
