With over 25 years of expertise, we are passionate floral designers specializing in natural and contemporary floral arrangements. Serving Hertfordshire, London, and beyond, we’ve had the privilege of crafting exceptional floral designs for a wide range of events.

Throughout the years, we’ve been entrusted by some of the finest hotels in London and the Home Counties to provide inspiring and bespoke floral decorations. Our longest-standing and most cherished partnership is with Sopwell House Hotel, a local, family-owned gem. Our relationship with this beautiful venue spans over 25 years, and we are proud to be an integral part of their team.Working alongside their talented, professional staff, we help bring each event to life with floral designs that perfectly complement the stunning surroundings.

Sopwell House offers a magnificent country garden and luxurious event spaces, including elegant banqueting suites that are constantly updated to reflect the highest standards of sophistication. It’s our favorite venue to decorate, as its versatile, timeless beauty can accommodate everything from simple bud vases to lavish, grand centerpieces.

We take great joy in transforming the space to suit every style, ensuring a memorable and extraordinary event every time.

How would you describe Wedding Venue Decorators in 3 words?
Elegant, Passionate & creative.

What do you love about being a florist for weddings and events?
What we love the most about being a florist for weddings and events is the privilege of telling someone’s love story through the flowers and decoration. After 25 years in the industry, we still get goosebumps when a bride sees her bouquet for the first time, or when the couple is shown their dream reception space, blooming just the way they imagined or better! We love the challenge of translating a feeling into a floral design, whether that is timeless romance, wild elegance, or modern minimalism. No two weddings are the same, we love being a part
of those once in a life time moments and making their day as beautiful as possible.

What bouquet would you say best describes Sopwell House?
The hotel has such a special vibe and can take natural textures to modern strong themes. Our favourite event we decorated at Sopwell House was Mr B’s wedding (Owner of Sopwell House) as this incorporated a natural, textured, woodland theme that bought the St Albans Suite alive.

What are your predictions for wedding florals in 2026?
We see more modern, simple statement designs featuring callalilies, grasses, simplevases, reflections.
Use of fruit and alternative textures, recycled and more locally, sustainable products.
Using the space within the St Albans Suite more creatively with caterpillar, serpentine, curvy, oblong and tablescaping linens and decorative items.

What advice do you have for a couple when looking for a wedding florist?
Are they truly listening to what you want? Do they understand your vision and the feeling you want to create on your big day?
Be clear about your priorities and non-negotiables. A skilled florist will take your values and style into account, designing something meaningful and unique to you.
A great florist also goes the extra mile. At Wedding Venue Decorators, we offer advice on everything from flower scent to longevity, ensuring that your blooms hold up throughout the day. We also provide curated samples and mock-ups, so you can see and feel your floral arrangements before the big day—no surprises!
A thoughtful florist will help shape your visual plan early in the process, making sure the florals seamlessly fit into the overall theme.
If flowers are a key part of your vision, don’t wait too long to book your florist.
